MAY 2025 CSA NEWSLETTER

It's Burger Season, with all the toppings. Onions are going soft, so sauteing them and drizzling the juice over the burger, along with a delicious pickle and of course, a healthy bit of cheese. A satisfying meal that is also quick. Two very important factors as meals often get rushed now that spring is here, in earnest. April has been full of "False Springs" - warm weather followed by cold or snow. Nothing new, but with a week ahead in the 70's, we feel like it is here, for good. Maybe.
We tried to make sure everyone who requested Coffee Samples received one and would love to hear your feedback! Is this something you would like included in your share going forward? Raquette River Roasters are Organic, Free Trade and delicious....Check out their offerings and let us know if you would like any included ( add on or within your share) by Tuesday so they can roast and we can pick up from them.

Share invoices come out on the 21st of every month and I will post this newsletter on our blog shortly after. I will also email you the link so you don’t miss the news. Mud Season After the snow melts and you are left with the remnants of last years bounty, a little thrust of color can be such a thing of beauty. Thank you for the sweet notes you sent me about my Naturopath appointment and taking it slowly, they are gratefully received. I'm going to need that reminder for this spring. Take it slow, deep breaths and just "do the next thing". My brother is getting married in May, just days after our 600 meat Chicks arrive from the hatchery, days before we send the beef out to graze on their pastures again ( which means we better have that fencing done!), days before the first calves begin to come..... I'm so excited for him and his bride to be, another friend who I'm looking forward to calling a sister. In the meantime, wrangling three men into measurements for suits and finding something to wear myself is the 'next thing'. Praying you all have a colorful, full spring!
Once more, into the breach,
Kassandra
